The SSI Instructor Training Course (ITC) is a life-changing experience that refines your teaching ability, public speaking, and in-water demonstrations.

Course Prerequisites

To join the ranks of SSI Professionals in Ponta Delgada, you must meet these high-level requirements:

• Certification: Must be a certified SSI Divemaster (or equivalent from another recognized agency).

• Experience: At least 75 logged dives totaling 50 hours or more to start the ITC; 100 logged dives to attend the Instructor Evaluation (IE). Get the Assistant Instructor Certification previous if you dont have time for the full Open Water Instructor Course.

• Specialty Training: Must have the SSI Science of Diving specialty (or equivalent).

• First Aid: Current React Right (CPR, First Aid, and Oxygen Provider) certification within the last 24 months.

• Age: Minimum of 18 years old.

• Medical Fitness: A valid Medical Statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months, stating you are fit for professional diving.
