This course gives you the skills to safely navigate the dark and master the mystery of the night.

 

Master the Darkness

Diving at night or in lower visibility requires specialized communication and navigation techniques. This program ensures you are prepared for the unique challenges of the dark.

What You’ll Master:

• Light Handling: Learning how to use primary and backup dive lights without blinding your buddy.

• Night Communication: Mastering specialized hand and light signals.

• Navigation: Using a compass and natural landmarks when your field of vision is limited.

• Entry & Exit: Safely entering and exiting the water from shore or boat in low-light conditions.

 

Course Prerequisites

To join a night dive adventure in Ponta Delgada, you must meet these requirements:

• Certification: Must be a certified Open Water Diver (or equivalent from another recognized agency).

• Minimum Age: 10 years old.

• Experience: No specific number of logged dives is required, but you should be comfortable with basic buoyancy before diving in total darkness.
